Suspicion over engineering students death

ERODE: A third year engineering student of a college at Thudupathi near Perundurai committed suicide in his hostel room on Thursday. His relatives later staged a road blockade for half an hour, raising suspicion over the cause of death.
Ramanathan (20), son of Eswaran of Dindigul, hanged himself after returning to the hostel on Wednesday. He was just back from a summer vacation. His friends found the body in the evening. A suicide note holding no one responsible for the death was recovered by a police team. His relatives refused to receive his body after postmortem, alleging that there was something "mysterious" about the death and held a road roko outside the hopsital. They claimed that Ramanathan had left home on Saturday, but had re­a­ched college only on Wed­nesday.
