Status quo on petition

BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday directed state government and Housing Board (KHB) to maintain a status quo in connection with a petition filed by the farmer of Vajarahalli and Ravanahalli near Kanakapura.The petitioners, Rajappa and others, stated that the KHB had acquired 150 acres of land near Kanakapura Road to construct a layout in 2004 and they were not given proper compensation. They added that the court ordered that status quo be maintained when they petitioned in 2007. A division bench comprising Justice Ram Mohan Reddy directed the state government to order the KHB to not construct any buildings until the dispute gets resolved.
