New Delhi: Adding two new products to its wearables category, Sony has introduced two new devices - the SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3.
With its built-in microphone and speaker, the SmartBand Talk comes equipped with a short call function so you can talk into it and hear your caller. It has a curved, always-on 1.4-inch e-paper display.
New built-in accelerometer and altimeter sensor technology provide an overview of your daily physical activity - whether it be walking, running or climbing. SmartBand Talk is waterproof. It will initially come in Black and White; Extra vibrant colours will available later in the year.
The SmartWatch 3 is Sony's first Android Wear smartwatch. The SmartWatch 3 offers significant step ups from the SmartWatch 2; it includes a 1.6-inch (320x320) TFT LCD Transflective display for visibility in bright sunlight, and stainless steel back panel. It is waterproof and charges via a standard microUSB port.
Sony's Android Wear smartwatch has a built-in 4GB local memory. It will be available in Classic (Black) and Sport (Lime) editions, with extra colour straps available in Pink and White later.^M
SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3 will launch later in Autumn 2014.
