Silk Mark Organisation exhibition from Tuesday

KOCHI: Silk Mark Organisation of India (SMOI), an initiative of the Central Silk Board-Ministry of Textiles, is organising an exhibition at Gokulam Park Convention Centre from August 2 to 7. “SMOI’s aim is to promote the value of silk and to provide the silk manufacturers from all over India a platform to display their products directly to the consumers,” the  organisers said. About 50 stalls will display saris, readymade garments, accessories and other materials. This exhibition would give the shoppers a chance to see various types of silk such as tussar and muga.
