The pride of Doordarshan in the mid 1980’s by famous Kannada actor and director Shanker Nag 'Malgudi Days' based on RK Narayan stories and RK Lakshman sketches is back again to treat in Janasri television channel.
It is a silver jubilee for one of the finest works of Shanker Nag’s 'Malgudi Days' that was first telecast in Doordarshan based on RK Narayan and RK Lakshman master pieces. It is now available in Janasri TV in the news channel is very important. The 39 episodes of 'Malgudi Days' produced by Narasimhan will be in Hindi with Kannada subtitles.
The associate director of 'Malgudi Days' Ramesh Bhat was feeling happy not only for remembering his best friend work even after 26 years. We have worked for the television serial with very minimum availability. Yet it was outstanding in results. I got recognition from so many for having worked in that television serial. For many months were in Agumbe. Master Manjunath the key actor as a child in 'Malgudi Days' feels happy because at last it is coming again to Kannadigas with Kannada subtitles for Hindi television serial in Janasri news channel. I was inquired in various countries when dubbed 'Malgudi Days' were seen by them why it is not possible in Kannada. Now it is happening says Manjunath.
Production executive of 'Malgudi Days' Jagadish Malnad remembered the donkeys brought from Shimoga to Agumbe. Badarinath on behalf of his father Narasimhan recalled the first proposal for making 'Malgudi Days'.
