HYDERABAD: A complaint has been lodged against a traffic assistant commissioner of police for allegedly manhandling three newsmen, who came to cover a media conference at the Press Club here on Tuesday.According to police, the media conference was convened by an organisation on the need for keeping the state united. Anticipating trouble, police forces were deployed at the Press Club.During the press meet, an argument ensued between the media personnel and the organisers when the former tried to raise some questions.Alleging that the organisers abused them on regional basis, the newsmen objected to it and a minor scuffle ensued between the two groups.Meanwhile traffic ACP L T Chandrasekhar, who was on bandobust duty, reached the place. The three newsmen N Mallesh, A Bhaskar and T Vijay alleged that Chandrasekhar entered into the conference hall and abused them in filthy language and manhandled them.The mediamen later lodged a complaint against the ACP and the organisers with the Punjagutta police. No case has been registered.
