Sadhguru Discharged From Hospital After Brain Surgery
The spiritual leader had undergone an emergency brain surgery after experiencing severe headaches for a few weeks

Spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev, popularly known as ‘Sadhguru’, was discharged from hospital on Wednesday after he underwent an emergency brain surgery on March 17.

He was admitted at the at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi and had been experiencing severe headaches for a few weeks before undergoing the brain surgery due to internal bleeding.

The Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Group, Dr Sangita Reddy, recently met Sadhguru in the hospital and shared, “The doctors have expressed satisfaction with his recovery and healing. Sadhguru, even as he is recovering, has maintained the same spirit. His commitment to the global good, his sharp mind and his sense of humour are all intact. I think this is good news for all the millions of people who have been enquiring about his health.”

A team of doctors comprising Dr Vinit Suri, Dr Pranav Kumar, Dr Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr S Chatterjee conducted an emergency brain surgery within a few hours of his admission to relieve the bleeding in the skull. Following the surgery, Sadhguru was weaned off the ventilator.

Earlier this week, Sadhguru’s daughter Radhe Jaggi also shared that her father is “doing well and recovering quickly” in an Instagram story.

Senior neurologist Dr Vinit Suri, in a video on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) had said, “Sadhguru has just faced a life-threatening situation. He had ignored a severe and consistent headache for the last four weeks as he wanted to cater to all his commitments. He even took part in the Mahashivratri programme on March 8.”

After regaining consciousness, the spiritual leader also thanked the doctors at Appollo Hospital and smiled saying, “Here I am in a Delhi hospital with a patch skull, but no damaged brain.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took to X, sharing about his conversation with Sadhguru. “Spoke to @SadhguruJV Ji and wished him good health and a speedy recovery,” he said.

In his reply, Sadhguru wrote, “Beloved Pradhan Mantriji, I should not be a Concern to you. You have a Nation to conduct. Overwhelmed by your concern, on my way to recovery. Dhanyavad.”
