KOCHI: Two  athletes will embark on a marathon to spread the fame of Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa Temple as a global pilgrim destination. Athletes, Dhanuvachapuram Bahuleyan and Dhanuvachaparum Asokan, will start running from Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple at 11.30 am on Thursday. Second of the three children of Vaidyan Vilakath Veetil  K Sundaresan and Vasanthi, Bahuleyan has represented Kerala in different marathons at the national level.Asokan has taken part in different district and state-level running competitions. He is the youngest of four children of Kalluvila Veetil Chandran and Sarada of Dhanuvachapuram.Bahuleyan earlier ran to Sabarimala from Thiruvananthapuram in one-and-a-half days. He has won second place in 1,500 metres race in the state amateur meet and represented the state in the national marathon in 1997, 1998 and 2000. Bahayuleyan has set a record for the Limca Book.
