Report on Kozhikode firing in 2 days: Jayakumar

KOZHIKODE: Additional Chief Secretary K Jayakumar who is probing into the police firing at the Kozhikode Government Engineering College on October 10, has said that the report will be submitted to the government within two days.  He added that enough evidence had been gathered and if needed, he would visit the college to get an idea of the place.  He was speaking to mediapersons after the day-long sitting at the PWD Rest House on Monday.Jayakumar collected evidence from North Range ADGP Rajesh Diwan, Kannur Range DIG S Sreejith, District Police Commissioner G Sparjan Kumar, District Collector P B Salim and  Kozhikode Tahsildar Premraj. Kozhikode North ACP  Radhakrishnan Pillai, who had fired at the students,  was also called for the inquiry.Evidence was also collected from the mediapersons and political party activists who were present at the scene of  firing.  Representatives of the parents of the students of the college and members of the lawyers committee were also present at the sitting.
