Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has demanded yoga guru Ramdev to come clean on the source of funding for his activities before targeting the ruling party on the issue of black money and corruption.
"Ramdev's property and income should be investigated and made public," party spokesman Vishal P Nabam said in a statement here on Friday.
Defending party MP Ninong Ering, who was engaged in a war of words with Ramdev when the latter was conducting a yoga camp at Pasighat in East Siang district, Nabam alleged that Ramdev's recent visit to Arunachal was not for spreading the message of importance of yoga but "a political game plan of his unknown and unrecognised political party."
"We have seen many renowned world leaders like the Dalai Lama, Pope, Ravi Shankar but they never interfered in government functioning and never criticised any political party or leader," he said.
