Jaipur: With the onset of monsoon this season, the Rajasthan government today announced holding
"kharif crop loan distribution camps" at every district levelby the Central Cooperative Banks on July 4.
Rajasthan Cooperative Minister Ajay Singh said that to co-incide with International Cooperative Day, kharif crop loan distribution camps will be organised in all districts.
This time 20 per cent new farmers would be linked with this interest free loan facility and interest is borne by the state government, he said.
On long term loans of Land Development Banks on agriculture sought by farmers, the state government would
provide 5 per cent subsidy, the Minister said.
Apprising at a meeting chaired by the Minister, Principal Secretary Deepak Upreti said this year the state government decided to provide crop loan with an earmarked budget of Rs 7,500 crore, and of which Rs 10,000 crore crop loan would be distributed for kharif season to farmers.
