More than 100 passports, fake visas stamps for Singapore and other documents were recovered from the arrested.

Amritsar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted a fake visa racket following the arrest of two youths allegedly involved in duping several people with fake visas and passports to Singapore. Balbir Singh and Ranjit Singh used to charge Rs 30,000 and above for Singapore visa with work permit and duped several innocent unemployed youth to the tune of several lakhs of rupees, police said.

It was found during initial investigations that the accused had plundered more than hundred unemployed youths by giving them fake Singapore visas and passports, they added. The racket came to light after one of the victims Jaspal Singh, a resident of Badowal, along with 25 other victims brought the matter to the notice of the police.
