CHITRADURGA: With the marks in II PU exam deciding a student's future, any bad result would not only affect the students' career but their psychology too.
At the Government Junior College for Girls in Chitradurga, one student was distraught after scoring just 3 marks in economics.Deepa N T, a housewife who took up PU exam as an outsider after a 15year break, was shocked after she was shown as failed.

Deepa was certain there was something wrong with either the valuation or tabulation and sought photocopies of her answer sheets.

Shocked at not only the marks but the error on the part of the staff, she said she opted for photocopies since she had the resources and awareness. ''I was able to pay `1,500. What would a poor candidate do?''

Deepa also requested authorities to revalue papers of failed students and take strict action against the guilty.
