KOCHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday issued lookout notices for three accused in the palm-chopping case.The notices were issued for first accused Savad of Odakkali, 28th accused M K Nazar of Kunhnnikara, Aluva, and fourth accused Sajil of Muvattupuzha. The NIA also announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for any person who gives information which can lead to the arrest of Nazar, the chief conspirator.A reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced for information on the other two. The NIA said the identity of the informer will be kept secret.On July 4, 2010, a gang had attacked T J Joseph, a Malayalam teacher at Newman College, Thodupuzha, and chopped off his right palm. There are 54 accused in the case. The state police filed chargesheet against 27 accused. The investigation was taken over by the NIA after it was found that the incident could have some terrorist involvement and that foreign extremist agencies had funded the attack.The NIA arrested some more accused in connection with the case.The lookout notice has been issued from the Hyderabad NIA Quarters.The information can be given over phone numbers 0484-2349344(Kochi),040-27764488 (Hyderabad) or 9493799334-336-339.
