New Delhi: Pakistan arrested a monkey, for crossing the Indian border in Bahawalpur on Monday, according to reports. A report in Pakistani daily 'The Express Tribune' said that locals tried to catch the monkey, but failed to do so.
The report said that the residents of the area informed the wildlife officials, who managed to capture the monkey.
The monkey was later placed at the Bahawalpur Zoo and has been named Bobby.
However, this is not the first time such a case of animal arrests has come across.
Last year, a pigeon was held in India under armed guard after it was caught on an alleged spying mission for Pakistan.
The bird was found by a local resident in Punjab.
Police officer Ramdas Jagjit Singh Chahal had told PTI that they suspected that the pigeon may have landed on Indian soil from Pakistan with a message, although no trace of a note was found.
