Oscar 2015: Mark Ruffalo, Ethan Hawke, Robert Duvall nominated in the best supporting actor category

Beverly Hills: The 87th annual Academy Award nominations for supporting actor in a motion picture have been announced in Beverly Hills, California, by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The nominees announced Thursday morning are: Robert Duvall, 'The Judge'; Edward Norton, 'Birdman'; Mark Ruffalo, 'Foxcatcher'; Ethan Hawke, 'Boyhood'; and J.K. Simmons, "Whiplash."

The Oscars will be presented Feb. 22 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and broadcast live on ABC.
