PUDUCHERRY: The enhanced old age pension of Rs 1000 would be distributed to beneficiaries from June 15, a press release from the Chief Minister’s office said on Saturday.When he assumed office on May 16, Chief Minister N Rangasamy had announced that the old age pension would be raised from Rs 750 to Rs 1000.Saturday’s release also said that free veshtis and saris would be distributed to people belonging to backward classes from June 15.
