New Delhi: International celebrities like Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder and Antonio Bendaras will be seen on Doordarshan making public service announcement on the United Nation's Millennium Goals.
The announcements will be made during a new programme which will be aired from August 29 at 9 PM, every Friday, a statement released here said.
The 'Chance Of A Lifetime' programme is a new reality show based on film making contest amongst a handful of creative youngsters and it has a unique concept that has not been explored by many GEC channels, the statement said.
The show is produced and hosted by Hollywood director and renowned Indian sports personality, Ashok Amritraj. It is divided into seven episodes and each episode carries public service announcement on the United Nation's Millennium Goals made by famous names in entertainment and Hollywood such as Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonders and Antonio Bendaras.
Noted personalities of Indian film industry like Santosh Sivan, Nagesh Kukoonor, Anubhav Sinha and Ketan Mehta will be the judges on the show and will evaluate the films made by contestants, it said.
Each movie will be evaluated critically before one is selected for final screening in front of UN officials and later in the Cannes Film Festival, it added.
