HYDERABAD: Running around a dozen departments to secure one licence is a drudgery that every entrepreneur goes through before starting an enterprise.What if the solution to this is at the click of a mouse? That which takes six months now, would be reduced to a job of minutes making every entrepreneur’s job much easier.The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, ministry of commerce and industry has undertaken the task of providing a web portal where all information related to a procedure for starting a new venture is presented in a cumulative format.eBiz, as the project is called, is one of the projects under the National e-Governance Plan and hopes to go live by November 2012.An entrepreneur must register with an account to log into the website and once logged in, the portal will display a set of questions asking the person about various details related to the business venture.Based on the replies received, a single application form would be provided which is an inclusive compilation taking into account the details required by all the related departments.The entrepreneur can fill one form to get clearance from the sewerage board, fire department, pollution control board etc.
