BANGALORE: Union Labour Minister Mallikharjun Kharge announced that they would open Provident Fund offices across nine regions of the state.Speaking at the 196th Provident Fund Organisation meeting, he said that PF offices in the city would be modernised. He said that the existing facilities would be made into Multi-level commercial complexes at a cost of Rs 25 crores.Other than this, the centres at Yelhanka, Belgaum, Tumkur would be converted into regional offices while Mandya, Hospet and Karwar would be made into district centres, he said. Added to this Bagalkote, Bidar and Davangere would get regional offices (SRO).The auditing responsibilities of the PF would be handled by Chand Bhai and Jassu Bhai Associates in Mumbai, he informed and added that Standard Charted Bank would be in-charge of guardian activities.Added to this, State Bank of India, ICICI, HSBC, HDFC and Reliance were selected based on a tender as fund managers. He said that all these recommendations we reapproved unanimously.
