Various artists of theatre groups of the state capital on Friday held a torch rally from Kalidas Rangalay to Multi-purpose Cultural Complex in support of their demands.

Various artists of theatre groups of the state capital on Friday held a torch rally from Kalidas Rangalay to Multi-purpose Cultural Complex in support of their demands.

The artists have been protesting in front of the Premchand Rangshala since July 17 demanding removal of Vibha Sinha from the Sangeet Natak Academy.

Artists from Pandarak, Begusarai, Masaurhi and Danapur have also planned street plays and dharna to press for their demand.

Patna: Women’s college welcomes freshers, PU conducts induction classes

The Patna Women’s College on Thursday organised fresher’s day ceremony to welcome the new students of vocational as well as B.Com courses.

The principal of the college presided over the function and advised the students to dream big and work hard to ensure a bright future.

On the same day, an induction class was held to acquaint new students of Patna University. The VC asked the students to maintain discipline and regularly attend classes.

Gaya: Magadh University to start admissions for vocational courses

The Magadh University (MU) will start its admission process for vocational courses soon. It is expected that the enrollment process will start from Monday or Tuesday.

The vocational courses have been approved by the Raj Bhavan. The VC-in–charge of the MagadhUniversity said that BCA, MCA, MBA, Environmental Science, and Bio-technology courses will be started soon.

The university will soon circulate instructions to the colleges. Courses which are not approved have been put on hold.

Patna: PDS granted permission for admission in BDS course

The Patna Dental College (PDS) has been granted the right for admitting students in the 40 seats of the BDS course.

The Dental Council of India had previously put a ban on the admission of the students for the 40 seats in the college.

Apart from this, admission for the two seats in the MDSCollege has also been granted.

However, the restriction was put upon the BDS course.
