ANANTAPUR: Two new trains from Tirupati passing through Kadiri in Anantapur district will be introduced before March. Disclosing this to mediapersons at Kadiri on Friday, Union minister of state for railways KH Munniyappa said the trains, one from Tirupati to Hubli in Karnataka and the other from Tirupati to Amaravati in Maharashtra were sanctioned in the 2011-12 railway budget and would be introduced by March next.Both the trains will pass through Kadiri.He said the railways was also contemplating introducing trains between Kadiri and Puttaparti, and between Kadiri and Chikballapur via Puttaparti.To a suggestion on introduction of Tirupati-Hyderabad, Tirupati-Kolhapur and Chennai-Ajmer trains via- Kadiri, Munniyappa said the demand for the trains on those routes had been long-pending and he would raise it with officials.The minister was in Kadiri to offer prayers at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple which he visits every year during Dasara.He was received by temple chairman Srihari and executive officer Sivakumar.
