The Orthopaedic Department at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences organised a two-day conference of orthopaedic doctors. Medical Director Dr Prem Nair inaugurated the meet.
Speaking at the conference, Dr Prem Nair pointed out that modern technological developments should be used in orthopaedic treatment. Hundreds of surgeons from India and abroad took part.
Kerala Orthopaedics Association president Gopakumar was the chief guest. Experts in the field including Professor Rajagopalan (Bangalore), Professor Vijayaraghavan (Chennai), Professor Gopalakrishnan (Thiruvananthapuram), Professor Hemachandran (Kozhikode), Professor V Ramchandran (Thrissur), Professor Gopakumar (Thiruvananthapuram), Professor Kumaran (Kozhikode), Professor M A Thomas (Kottayam) and Dr Laser Chandy (Ernakulam) presented papers on various aspects of orthopaedic treatment at the seminar.
Amrita School of Medicine principal Dr Prathapan Nair, Orthopaedic Department head Dr V K Bhaskaran and Dr Chandrababu also spoke.
