Narang, Rajput fail to quailfy for 50m rifle shooting finals

Beijing: Gagan Narang and Sanjeev Rajput have failed to qualify for the finals of 50m rifle prone shooting event at the Beijing Olympics.

This comes as a big disappointment to the Indian shooting fraternity where two Indian women shooters had to settle for a disappointing performance at Beijing Olympics on Thursday.

Anjali Bhagwat and Avneet Kaur Sidhu failed to qualify for the 50m rifle 3 position event.

Anjali finished a poor 32nd with a total score of 571 while Avneet could manage 42nd position out of 43 competitors after scoring 552 in the qualifying round at Beijing Shooting Range.
