Alibaug: The names of former Indian Navy chief Admiral (Retd) Laxminarayan Ramdas and his wife are missing from the electoral roll of the Raigad Lok Sabha constituency, where polling is scheduled for April 24.

Confirming this, his wife Lalita Ramdas said from Varanasi, where her husband is campaigning for AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, that she was shocked to find their names missing from the voters' list.

The couple has been living at Bhaimala village, just 10 km from Alibaug since the last 20 years. They have voted at this village during the last three Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

Admiral Ramdas who was appointed Indian Navy chief in 1990, was given land by the government at the village, where he has built a house.

"We contacted the district collector and pointed out that our names were missing, but he said he was not in a position to help," she said.
