Mumbai: Gas leak in Mahanagar Gas Limited's underground pipeline at Worli

Mumbai: Gas leakage has been reported from Mahanagar Gas Limited's underground pipeline at Worli junction in Mumbai. People have been evacuated from the immediate vicinity of the spot as a precautionary measure.

The leakage was reported when some drainage work was underway at the Worli junction. Fire brigade officials have claimed that the leakage is under control. They had received a call about the leakage around 1 PM on Thursday.

"It is piped Natural Gas. The leakage has been stopped," the Maharashtra Fire Chief said.

There are no reports of any complains about adverse health conditions following the gas leak as yet.
