Mock baraat at Shaadi No 1 premiere
Mock baraat at Shaadi No 1 premiere
The premiere was a dress rehearsal for Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan, who are both getting married in the coming months.

Mumbai: This is a classic case of reel-life imitating real-life. As stars of the film Shaadi No 1 gear-up for their own marriages, the premiere of their film Shaadi No 1 was more like a trailer of their real life wedding day.

Two grooms, two brides, and a baraat all dressed up, it had all the elements of a real wedding. The premiere of the film was more like a dress rehearsal for the film's stars Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan, who are both getting married in the coming months.

The entire cast and crew came out in full force for the occasion. Soon-to-be grooms Fardeen, who headed the baraat in a Toyota Celica, and Zayed, who along with Sharman Joshi arrived on a horse, were as excited about the premiere as they are about their forthcoming weddings.

"Marriages are chaotic. But whats the fun without chaos?" Fardeen Khan said.

"Right now I'm a little anxious, a little nervous and a little sort of happy as well," actor Zayed Khan said.

Director David Dhawan, known for his "No.1" comic flicks, and Producer Vashu Bhagnani are confident of the film's returns.

The grand premiere was nothing short of a real shaadi with actors Aarti and Ayesha being carried like brides in a doli.

"A real marriage is very different from a film but obviously it's very very exciting and interesting," actress Aayesha Takia said.

"It's something that I know I haven't done before and I don't think I'll ever do again. I don't think there'll ever be a premiere like this again," Takia added.

As Fardeen and Zayed gear up to enjoy marital bliss, the actors have their fingers crossed that both their real-life and screen shaadis are numero uno.
