DMK president and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi should apologise to the people of TN for doing nothing to prevent the killing of over one lakh Tamils in Mullivaikal, said Thamizhar Desiya Iyakkam president Pazha Nedumaran.
His book titled ‘Prabakaran-Thamizhar Ezhuchiyin Vadivam’ was released at a function in Erode on Sunday. Nedumaran said that Karunanidhi had started TESO 23 years ago and he was also associated with it. But, he himself dissolved it without taking the movement to its logical end.
Now, he revived TESO and invited world-level leaders to its proposed conference next month. As Karunanidhi had already declared that the meet could not adopt a resolution on separate Tamil Eelam, he could at least adopt a resolution seeking apology for not taking any steps to check the killing of Tamils there three years ago.
When the Tamils were being annihilated at Mullivaikkaly, no world-level leader came to their rescue. So their attending the TESO meet next month, as per the claim of MK, would not bring any desired result, he said.
