MCI affiliation to six government medical colleges

Both state and the Centre would release the same under the ratio of 25:75, he added. It has also been decided to set up 20-bed Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) for patients suffering from malnutrition on the government hospital premises, he said. Underlining the importance of generic drugs centre, the Minister said that the patients will get branded medicines of 14 different drug companies at affordable rates.He said that the government will spend Rs 1.50 lakh for the treatment of cancer patients. Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, who was also present at the function, said that government should speed up the works attached to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences(HIMS) at the earliest.Former minister H D Revanna urged the minister to set up Atalji Janata Bazar generic drug counter and cardiac centre in association with Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore, at taluk centres.
