Wahlberg says he wants to take over the role of 'Iron Man' from Robert Downey Jr in the future.
Los Angeles: Actor Mark Wahlberg says he wants to take over the role of 'Iron Man' from Robert Downey Jr in the future.
The 42-year-old actor revealed that he almost starred in a Batman film and now he seems enthusiastic in filming 'Iron Man' in which the title role is currently played by Downey Jr, reported Ace Showbiz.
"I would like to take over the 'Iron Man' franchise for Robert Downey. But it's one of those things where I kind of like playing real people, so I've never been asked," he said.
"Once I was kind of being talked about for the Robin role in 'Batman Forever," he added.
Wahlberg is presently shooting for 'Transformers 4', in which he is introduced as the new leading man in the film franchise.
