Malegaon blast case brings Maharashtra ATS to Delhi
Sources says five more serving Army officers are being investigated.

New Delhi: A team of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is in Delhi to meet senior Delhi Police officials and investigate the Malegaon bomb blast links in the Capital.

Sources have told CNN-IBN that a serving Colonel and a Major are among five more serving Indian Army officers being investigated in the blast case.

The ATS is investigating if the officers had any role to play in providing logistical support to those who engineered the bomb blast in Malegaon.

They officers are also suspected to be associated with Abhinav Bharat, a Hindu organisation whose role in the blast is already under investigation.

In fact, the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad is seeking Army's permission to question at least three of these serving officers.

Sources also say that a Delhi-based doctor RP Singh might also be questioned.

Dr RP Singh is alleged to have links with one of the accused in the Malegaon blast case, Dayanand Pandey.

He has however denied the charge that he was in touch with Pandey.
