Los Angeles: Troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan has turned to Indian peace icon Mahatma Gandhi for inspiration.
The 24-year-old is to leave rehab after a three-month-stay tweeted her resolution to make a new beginning after years of drug and alcohol addictions, reported People magazine online.
"Today is the first day of the rest of my life. The future depends on what we do in the present Mahatma Gandhi... One step at a time," the 24-year-old tweeted.
The message is the first time that Lindsay has tweeted in months. She is expected to leave the Betty Ford Center where she has been in treatment since October on Tuesday.
The singer-actress had been ordered into the sober house by the court for breaching the conditions of probation set for a 2007 conviction and failing her drug tests.
