THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Political Affairs Committee of the KPCC will meet here on August 11 to debate in detail the liquor policy of the UDF Government. The shortcomings in the announced policy will be reviewed by the Political Affairs Committee which will suggest amendments. The amendments will be presented at the UDF meeting scheduled for August 16 before the modified liquor policy is ratified. ‘’The KPCC coordination committee has authorised the Political Affairs Committee to look into the liquor policy,’’ KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala said here on Wednesday. The coordination committee has asked the State Government to stick to its earlier position regarding endosulfan ban. ‘’The State Government should make it clear in the Supreme Court the state’s stand when the case comes up. In addition, the KPCC will write to Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar to put on record its difference of opinion with the stand of the Agriculture Department.’’
