BANGALORE: The surgery of former minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, which was approved, is yet to be scheduled.According to the doctors treating Naidu, he has to undergo further clinical investigation before doctors can decide on his date of surgery.Resident Medical Officer of Victoria Hospital Dr Kantharaju said that some more tests need to be done.However, in the absence of equipment and facilities in the hospital, permission to shift him from jail to the hospital has been sought.Suffering from backache and cervical disc prolapse, the former minister has been admitted in Victoria Hospital since August 21.His sugar level and BP were reported to be under control.“We need to wait for the latest CT before we decide on the date of the surgery because he has already undergone surgeries in 2004 and 2008 for lymphoma, a kind of cancer,” said Dr Kantharaju.COURT GRANTS PERMISSION TO NAIDU TO UNDERGO SURGERYBangalore: A Lokayukta court today granted permission to former Karnataka minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, who is in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in a land scam, to undergo surgery.Granting permission to Naidu, who has been suffering from cervical spine ailment, to undergo the surgery, Lokayukta Special Court judge N K Sudhindra Rao directed the hospital authorities to keep the court informed of the developments with regard to the former minister’s health.
