Kasargod paralysed by strike

KASARGOD: The motor strike called by the joint council of trade unions paralysed public conveyances including taxis and autorickshaws. However, two wheelers and private vehicles plied in limited numbers.The KSRTC operated inter-state bus services to Mangalore and Sullia under convoy system with police escort. The KSRTC stopped operation under the convoy system due to limited number of passengers in the afternoon. The CITU, BMS and AITUC workers blockaded the highway near the mofussil bus stand for half an hour in the morning.
