PUDUCHERRY: All India NR Congress MLA P Karthikeyan was granted anticipatory bail in connection with a road rage case based on a complaint from a Congress man Prabakaran, by Villupuram Principal District Session Judge A Thiagrajan on Thursday.Following this the MLA surrendered before the Muncif-cum-Judicial Magistrate at Vanur. The bail was granted on the conditions that the MLA woud have to appear for investigations daily at 5 pm in the Auroville police station for 30 days.A similar bail was also given to Prabakaran against whom a similar case was registered based on a complaint by Karthikeyan.It may be recalled that the Auroville police registered a case against Karthikeyan and his driver Vinoth for assaulting Prabakaran at Thiruchitrambalam-Koot road in Villupuram district. But as there was no major damage, both ignored the incident. Later cases were registered.
