Mumbai: Comedy is the theme at the box office this week and the makers are certainly laughing all the way to the bank.
The much-hyped Phir Hera Pheri, directed by Niraj Vohra opened to 100 per cent collections all over India. The movie was probably riding the success wave of it's prequel, Hera Pheri, directed by Priyadarshan.
Meanwhile, the other comedy of the week, Chup Chup Ke, directed by the original Hera Pheri man, Priyadarshan, didn't fare badly either.
The collections were in the range of 70 to 80 per cent.
The Aamir-Kajol starrer, Fanaa, continues to make money in its second week and has collected Rs eight to nine crore in addition to the Rs 32 crore that the film earned in the first week.
And even though the IIFA awards will keep most of the stars away from tinsel town next week, an Alag superhero film promises to keep the sparks flying.
