It was wonderful working in Pink Panther: Ash

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is ready with her Hollywood film The Pink Panther 2. And here's what she had to say about it.

Q. So what's your role exactly in the film?

Aishwarya: I play Sonia, a writer and authority on the Tornado who steals valuable artifacts from all over the world. And I am an essential part of the dream team trying to find the Tornado. Though Sonia is not a detective, she plays a very essential element and an almost important part of the team trying to unravel the mystery of the missing Pink Panther and trying to nail The Tornado.

Q. And what according to you is the highlight of the film?

Aishwarya: Apart from Steve Martin who plays Inspector Clouseau, I think the best part of this film is its ensemble cast. I think it was a wonderful idea to come up with a dream team, so you've actually pulled in characters from different parts of the world – you've got all these different nationalities – so you pick it up as the world's getting smaller. And also the audience is multi-national right!

Q. How was it working with the ensemble cast?

Aishwarya: It was wonderful working with the entire team. I mean Steve Martin is fantastic as Clouseau. And I've been an audience to all the actors in the movie and I've always enjoyed watching their work. So it was great working with Steve and Andy and Alfred and Emily and John Cleese.

Q. How was it working with director Harald Zwart?

Aishwarya: Oh, he is great to work with. He keeps everyone moving and brings in a lot of positive energy. And he's got great sensibilities for a comedy. It was real fun working with him on the sets.

Q. So, is movie making abroad any different from India?

Aishwarya: No, I have never looked at it as different. What makes a movie different is the cast and the director not the language.
