BANGALORE: The Women and Narcotics Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) busted an inter-state prostitution racket by a conducting raid on an apartment on Kasturba Road in Cubbon Park police Station limits. A girl was rescued and three men allegedly assisting racketeers have been arrested. Six mobile phones and a cash of Rs 12,000 have also been seized, the police said. Based on a definite tip off, the CCB sleuths carried out a raid on Golden Arcade Apartment on Kasturba Road and arrested Rajesh Kumar (42) of Kerala, Sanjay Negi, (32) and Anath Gosh (24) on Thursday.Investigations revealed that the accused were bringing girls from other states by giving assurance that they will be given good jobs in the city and later they were pushing them in to prostitution.Man marries lover at Police StationA man who had refused to marry his lover ended up marrying her at K G police station. The duo have been identified as Govinda and Venkatamma, both residents of Vinayak Nagar, hailingfrom Mulbagal. They were neighbours and had fallen in love with each other. Govinda was putting off the marriage after Venkatamma became pregnant following which she had approached the police. The police called their family members and ensured that they got married in the police station.
