British model and actress Liz Hurley and husband Arun Nayyar seem headed for a split. Liz can blame her temper and bossy ways, say reports, for the impending split. The couple had gone through elaborate wedding ceremonies both in England and in India, gaining huge media attention. Liz’s calls in professional life seem to be upsetting the duo’s marriage. The marriage is not made easy, say some by the constant presence of Liz’s son Damien and old flame Hugh Grant.
First Pussycat dolls did a remix version of Jai Ho along with Oscar winning Indian musician A R Rahman and now hip-hop star Akon of Mr Lonely fame has tied up with the Mozart from Madras for a song for his album Freedom is Beautiful. The album is to be a fusion one, mixing bhangra and hip-hop. The video featuring Rahman and Akon is set to hit Indian shores on March 23, 2009.
Disney's have featured a black princess in the latest The Princess and the Frog. The film features Prince Naveen of Maldonia in the lead and he'll be romancing Princess Tiana, Disney's first ever black princess. Oprah Winfrey is to voice the character of the princess' mother.
Singer Madonna was in New York recently for the Premiere party of Valentino, the Last Emperor, a film on fashion czar Valentino who walked arm in arm with actress Gwyneth Paltrow for the big do. Other celebrities on the red carpet were Claire Danes and Anne Hathaway who feature in the film. India’s own and model cum top TV cookery show anchor Padma Lakshmi was present too.
This biographical film follows Valentino and his long time business partner, Giancarlo Giammetti's final two years in business.
