HC posts case to Monday

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing on the petitions challenging the Lokayukta’s recommendation to cancel the posting of assistants in Kerala University, to Monday.The appointments were made from a rank list after conducting a written test in 2005 and a subsequent interview in 2007. The court had earlier ordered status quo on the issue.The 31 petitioners, who were appointed from the rank list, sought a directive to Kerala University not to take any further action pursuant to the recommendation of the Lokayukta.  Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Kerala University V Jayaprakash had also filed a petition against the  Upalokayukta order  recommending action against him in the appointment scam.
