This window allows ample time for pilgrims from across the country to embark on their spiritual journey.
The core Hajj period, which encompasses the main rituals and ceremonies, will take place from June 3 to June 8. This is the most significant phase of the pilgrimage, where millions of Muslims gather in Mecca to perform rites that are central to their faith. After completing the Hajj, pilgrims will begin their return journey. The return of pilgrims by charter flights is scheduled from June 11 to June 10. Notably, the age limit for pilgrims wishing to bring a companion has been adjusted.
Previously, only pilgrims aged 70 and above were allowed to bring a companion. However, the new guidelines have lowered this age threshold to 65 years. Women aged 45 years and above are now permitted to apply for the Hajj even if they do not have a Mehram (a close male relative) accompanying them.
