Govt to increase security at tourist centers
Taj Mahal in Agra is the most visited and famous tourist centre.

New Delhi: The government has decided to upgrade security at heritage buildings across the country, especially those buildings which attract a large number of tourists.

Tourism Minister Ambika Soni says their top priority is the Taj Mahal in Agra which is India's most famous tourist attraction.

The Tourism Ministry has asked the Home Ministry to take the additional security measures.

The good times that the Indian tourism industry has seen, seems to have hit a bottleneck with 26/11.

This is something that the tourism sector in India already affected by the global meltdown can't afford at the moment.

It is now mobilising voices from the likes of National Geographic to endorse India as a safe and must see destination.

What's your reaction?
