Malegaon: Maharashtra government on Saturday revised the toll in Malegoan multiple blasts to 31 from 37 saying that it had earlier included some persons who had died in other incidents.
Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil put the death toll at 31 and clairified that he was given a figure that had included some deaths in incidents not related to the blasts.
The 31 dead include six women and 10 children, he told reporters here. He also said a total of 297 persons were injured, including 31 women and 146 children. The injuries include severe to minor scratches, he added.
Currently only 95 persons are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and rest of them have been discharged, he said.
Meanwhile, the Collector of Nasik, S Chokkalingam said, the curfew was lifted from the town at 0800 hrs (IST) except from Bada Kabrastan area.
