Govt not involved in Jagans arrest

HYDERABAD: Dismissing the allegations of YS Vijayamma, mother of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, that the ongoing CBI investigation on illegal assets case was being carried out at the behest of the AICC president Sonia Gandhi as false, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana came down heavily on the former.Speaking to newsmen late on Sunday night, he said the government had nothing to do with the ongoing investigation relating to Jagan’s assets case.He termed the allegations of Vijayamma that the investigation was being done as per the direction of the Congress high command as completely baseless.A man like Jagan amassed wealth by resorting to illegal activities.The law will take its course,’’ he said and added that getting sympathy in the bypolls, Botcha replied: “People of our state are very intelligent.They are observing all the developments.”
