There was a time when newcomers would scramble over each other to be part of a Nagesh Kukunoor film. It seems though the phase is over. Nagesh is currently trying hard to get two of his films 8 x 10 Tasveer and Aashayein to see the light of the day.
Now rubbing salt to the wounds, up and coming star Neil Nitin Mukesh has refused to work with him.
A little birdie reveals that Neil – who now has two major releases, Aa Dekhen Zara and New York, lined up – has turned down Nagesh's offer.
Apparently Nagesh, with a corporate house backing him, had approached Neil a few years ago. Neil had agreed to do the film then. However given the way things have shaped up for him (and Nagesh) it seems Neil isn't keen on working on the project at all!
Nagesh shouldn't be surprised But Neil has already earned a reputation of standing up filmmakers. He had recently walked out of Tigmanshu Dhulia's latest film starring Govinda at the eleventh hour leaving him in the lurch.
Either way, we feel bad for Nagesh. He's been running from pillar to post and even Akshaye Khanna and Abhay Deol have turned down the film!
