New Delhi: Google's first ever tablet, unofficially dubbed Nexus tablet, is highly expected to be unveiled during the Google I/O developer event, which is scheduled for June 27-29 at San Francisco's Moscone Center in the US.

According to a report from Taiwanese publication DigiTimes, "The 7-inch Nexus tablet PC already started shipping in June and is estimated to be available in the retail channel in July with the device's total shipments expected to reach at least three million units in the second half of the year."

The report further stated that Google is expected to unveil the details during the conference, and Asustek Chairman Jonney Shih will also attend the event to jointly unveil the tablet PC with Google.

The device is highly believed to feature a 7-inch screen size, and support a Wi-Fi connection. It will feature a rear camera, but will come equipped with a front-side webcam for video conference, reports DigiTimes, adding, it will also come preloaded with Google's Chrome browser.

Besides, the report from DigitTmes also mentioned that Asustek plans to hit with its own 7-inch tablet PC with price at only $159-179 in August.
