BANGALORE: In the last three years, Bangalore fashion might not have changed drastically, but surely fashion loving folk from the city have got a million and more options to choose from. What with the overdose of high fashion being witnessed in the city and designers from across the world giving Bangalore a taste of their fashion. After successfully impressing the city for five seasons, the sixth edition of the Blender’s Pride Bangalore Fashion Week, Summer/Shower 2012 brought with it a whole new world of design, class and cuts to die for. Adding to this was the interesting accessorising that all designers played around with. Not just the head gear, hair styles and accessories, but also bags, shoes and make up livened up the mood in the fashion arena this season. The spring summer collections this season focused on elaborate hair styles, while for some designers it was all about letting the hair flow in its natural style, for many others the focus was to be the outfit and so hair was kept away. Casually, other designers added head gear like hats, classy caps and hair bands and interestingly, colourful flower bands made a comeback. When it came to accessorizing, bright bangles were the choice for many designers portraying an Indo-western collection, while others preferred chunky bracelets, lifted right from high fashion street at New York. Rings and neck pieces bid adieu two seasons back, but yet many designers choose to add them to their already beautiful collections - highly debatable point of this faux pas was whether these accessories might have actually lifted attention off the outfit and killed the whole purpose of the show.Interestingly, the footwear was a hit with all designers and baring a few shows, shoes were the least controversial part of the shoe. A couple of models who broke their heels at the start of the fashion week in the middle of the ramp, managed to carry it off well, ignoring the bleak noise of scrawny scribbling emerging from the first few rows, filled with critics.
