In a country where religion and devotion go hand in hand, some people literally ?travel far'in their pursuit of God.
Betul (MP): An Indian Railways employee has expressed his devotion to the Gods in a unique fashion.
Having cycled 27 times to the Vaishno Devi shrine, 13 times to Chitrakoot and 11 times to Maihar, Shivcharan Bathri claims to pedal about 150 km daily.
Barthi, who has notched up nearly 1.38 lakh km in his sojourns even had a Sharda Devi temple constructed at nearby Ram Nagar.
"I have resolved to visit Vaishno Devi 31 times," says Bathri who?s 28th tour got underway from Betul on Sunday.
Bathri takes a month's leave annually for his sojourns.
