BANGALORE: What are your spiritual beliefs?I believe that God is omnipresent and that the Almighty lives within each and every one.What is your understanding of God?God wants us to lead a simple life and be good to others. He loves people who are humble and never hurt others. To get God’s blessings, one has to be nice to others.What are your spiritual practices?I have two idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Durga. I worship them daily. I interact with them like a friend. I bring my difficulties to their notice and seek solutions to my problems. I don’t believe in offering huge amount of money to a temple. Offering money to temple to wash off sins is not a workable solution. I also don’t believe in abhisekhas to the idols of God and Goddess but I am not against others who do abhisekhas.Have you visited pilgrim centres?I visited Goddess Vaishnodevi’s temple two years ago. Goddess Vaishnodevi is our family Goddess. I had visited Tirumala but was not happy with the staff there. They were pushing and pulling pilgrims at the sanctum of sanctorum. They must give few minutes to everyone for their darshan of Sri Balaji. I have also visited Goddess Chamundeswari’s temple at Mysore. A visit to a temple gives me immense satisfaction and peace of mind.Ragini Dwivedi is an actress of Sandalwood.
